Zerum were instructed as Planning Consultants to submit an application for a vacant industrial site on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre in an area also known as ‘Pumpfields’.  The proposals are for student accommodation and include 1005 student beds across four blocks, standing at sixteen, eleven, nine and eight storeys high. Amongst state of the art accommodation, the complex also included a yoga centre and a holistically designed courtyard to facilitate valuable student down-time.

The proposals also included a wider landscaping scheme which involved both this site and the adjacent residential site to create an ‘urban park’ that facilitates better connection in and around the site, creating a vital high-quality green space with far-reaching benefits.

Zerum worked with a team of consultants to provide a full and detailed planning application that responded to Liverpool’s student accommodation policy review and provided justification on the loss of unviable employment land.
