project overview

Zerum have successfully secured planning permission for a development of 95 apartments on Clegg Street in Liverpool.

The proposed scheme was designed by architects Falconer Chester Hall and proposes the erection of an L-shaped block between five and eight storeys in height with a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments.

The site fronts on to Great Homer Street, which links the development to the Islington area of the city centre and the area of regeneration known as Project Jennifer.  The wider area is currently experiencing significant change as a number of residential and student schemes gain consent and make a start on site.  Along with these residential developments there is also the New Police HQ which is due to be located in close proximity to the site and is to be the main base for the force in Liverpool by 2020.

The proposed scheme provides a high quality residential development which will enhance this route into the city centre providing a more appropriate gateway building.  It will also revitalise an underutilised/vacant, brownfield site which is located in a sustainable location.
