Freemasons Row

Proposed new mixed-use development creating four new inter-connected towers
  • Client: Vinco Group Ltd
  • Location: Pump fields, Liverpool
  • Sector: Mixed Use

project overview

On behalf of the Vinco Group Ltd, Zerum submitted an application for a new mixed use development to the north of Liverpool City Centre.

The development site was fronted by Freemasons Row, which was able to be stopped up providing a unique opportunity to create a landscaped pedestrian street at the base of the buildings.  Four new inter-connected towers created a landmark development for this prominent location.

At ground floor a double height series of high quality commercial and communal units are provided to activate the newly created Green Street.

The four towers are stepped in height to reflect the changing nature of the surrounding area around the application site.  The scheme rises to 15 stories at the prominent Leeds Street frontage and falls to 10 stories along Naylor Street. Across the scheme the development will provide 656 apartments and 14 townhouses making a substantial contribution to the housing market in the locale.

The high quality scheme acts as a catalyst driving the wider regeneration in the vicinity and contributes to the uses being brought forward.  Aspirations for the city see new regeneration initiatives occurring around this location and highlight the importance of providing schemes which enhance this position.

Planning consent was secured by Zerum.
