21 The Strand, Liverpool

Planning

Project Overview

On behalf of client Panacea Property Development, Zerum obtained planning consent for a new residential apartment scheme along the important Strand in Liverpool city centre.

Highlights

  • The planning application gained consent for a Private Rented Scheme encouraging residents to rent in the building on a long-term basis.  The proposal provides 395 residential apartments and 627 sq/m of commercial floorspace.
  • To maximise the location and the aspect across the Liverpool Waterfront a private residential roof garden is included at the 16th floor.  This space provides high quality amenity space which links the two towers and enables residents to appreciate the dramatic panorama.
  • The scheme has evolved to ensure it reflects the prominent location and respects the surrounding buildings and Liverpool waterfront location and the historical features of the Three Graces.
  • Designed by Leach Rhodes Walker, the development makes an important contribution to the residential market providing a substantial amount of residential accommodation for the city centre housing market.
