The project comprised 2 phases; phase 1 the design and construction of a new build Aldi store with a 132-space carpark, associated external works and extensive infrastructure and highways alterations. Phase 2 extended the infrastructure highway to facilitate a development site for EuroGarages to provide a petrol filling station plus tow drive through operations.
Highlights
The project also included the design and construction of 70,000sq.ft of industrial accommodation as the final phase of development.
The site is situated next to the Highways Agency’s Tarbuck Compound and a trading DAF Trucks servicing station, both of which remained operational and live throughout the construction of the project.
To facilitate Phase 2 of the project two stopping up orders were required to differing areas, this was managed during the Phase 1 pre-construction phase.
