Project Overview
The project comprised 2 phases; phase 1 the design and construction of a new build Aldi store with a 132-space carpark, associated external works and extensive infrastructure and highways alterations. Phase 2 extended the infrastructure highway to facilitate a development site for EuroGarages to provide a petrol filling station plus tow drive through operations.
Highlights
- The project also included the design and construction of 70,000sq.ft of industrial accommodation as the final phase of development.
- The site is situated next to the Highways Agency’s Tarbuck Compound and a trading DAF Trucks servicing station, both of which remained operational and live throughout the construction of the project.
- To facilitate Phase 2 of the project two stopping up orders were required to differing areas, this was managed during the Phase 1 pre-construction phase.
