On behalf of Boultbee Brooks Real Estate, Zerum have submitted a application for an extension and full refurbishment of 67-75 Mosley Street, Manchester.

The site comprises of two separate functioning buildings. The first is housed by Bank of China to the ground floor with vacant offices on the upper 5 floors. The second building is a six-storey tower with two disused retail units. The buildings are surrounded by various land uses, typical of such a city centre location.

Zerum’s application was to seek full planning permission to redevelop the site through detailed Planning Application for refurbishment of the building including the addition of a storey and further floorspace, the recladding of all frontages and the creation of roof top terrace.

The PRP design also proposed using large glazed openings to increase the natural daylight entering the building and included 4 private surface car parking for staff and visitors, and basement carparking.

The aim of the scheme is to create a high-quality development that relates to, respects and responds to the character of both immediate surroundings and the wider George Street Conservation area, whilst presenting an opportunity to maximise the prospect of the building becoming full utilised again for B1 office space.
