St Michael’s represents an exciting opportunity to address an identified need for a prestigious mixed use scheme of the highest quality at a strategic location in the heart of Manchester city centre. The development will redefine the centre of Manchester, bringing life to the area at all times. It will create a new defining landmark for Manchester, making a strong statement in architecture and setting new standards in design and quality of accommodation, which will reinforce the city’s position nationally and internationally. It will help to meet identified demands from businesses, residents and visitors, and aid the city’s economic growth and prosperity as the driving powerhouse of the north.
The scheme includes a premium-quality mixed use development comprising new public spaces, up to 189-residential apartments, 16,310 sq.m of Grade A office space, a 5* hotel of up to 216 beds, a boutique hotel of 30 beds, a synagogue and 3,228 sq.m of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Zerum were instructed by Jackson’s Row Developments Limited from the outset of the project. Having assisted the City Council initially in preparing a Strategic Regeneration Framework for the site, Zerum project managed the planning process including advising on strategy, coordinating the preparation of the planning submission and engaging with stakeholders and third parties.
